Allor Manufacturing Inc.
Allor Manufacturing was started in 1970 for the purpose of making conveyor chain and conveyor chain replacement parts for the automotive and steel industries. The company began in the garage of the president's father where rollers, pins and bushings were manufactured with lathes and drill presses.

Allors reputation and market share rapidly expanded resulting in frequent upgrades in facilities and machine capability. In 1976 Allor built a 20,000 square foot facility in Novi, Michigan. The facility was directly related to the swift success of Allor and the recognition the company was receiving as a leader in the conveyor chain industry. Much of this success was due to product innovation to suit each customer's needs. 1976 also brought the introduction of Allor in the steel mill market. As a producer of steel mill coil conveyor chain, Allor was handicapped by having to buy coil conveyor wheels. Allor engineers developed wheels that improved upon the original OEM wheel allowing Allor to gain a competitive edge.

During the 1980's Allor actively entered the Automotive Assembly Markets. Allor engineering designed a flat top wheel for the flat top conveyor chain used in the automotive assembly plants, as well as patenting a precision trolley wheel providing exceptional life and reduction of maintenance hours. Up until that time trolley wheels were primarily commercial grade and available through limited suppliers. Allors precision wheels are designed for service in phosphate and paint conveyor lines.

In 1995 Allor moved to a brand new 78,000 square foot facility in Brighton, Michigan. The new facility served as a sign of the company's continued financial success and as part of a strategy for continuous improvement.

Allor has seen many years of growth and change but this growth cannot be attributable to only one element. The success of Allor Manufacturing, Inc. has been built on a combination of factors:

  • Allors strong Sales and Marketing program
  • Allors highly skilled and creative Engineering Function
  • Allors constant commitment to meeting customers' needs with high quality products.
  • None of this would have been possible without the dedication and excellence of all Allor employees.
